Everyone gets spam. Lots of it is misspelled. Some of it has nonsense words. The newest variation I've seen is the addition of lots of words that have nothing to do with the spam. Most people seem to think that this is done to fool the Bayesian spam filters. Here's a link to an article by someone who has found out the truth.

I enjoyed the pastiche when i first read it. Course it's utter bull, but the fact that someone even attempted an explanation to this behavior is funny.

Most of the spam is either incoming from americans ( the spamhaus.org rokso list can help here ) or if viral in nature, generally from eastern european/russian gangs that are warring over supremacy over who gets to control all the normal user's net connection to send spam ( the beagle/netsky/mydoom battle raging right now ).

People don't get hired to type glibberish. It's simply much easier to get a computer with a dictionary and a random function to do it for you. The big bad computer can even take paragraphs and slice and dice em and stuff spam lines in between em ( spam sandwich! woot!).

( I work abuse@a.montreal.ISP , and i deal with this every day.)
