By now, we've all heard of the g spot. It's an area about 3-5 cm (1-2 inches) above the opening of the vagina, behind the pubic bone, on the front (tummy side) inside wall. I won't go into all the discussion of erectile tissue, female prostrate, spongy tissue, etc. Scientists still have questions about it, like are there extra nerves in the vaginal wall or is it all due to pressure on the tissue surrounding the urethra and if so, which nerves are being stimulated. The important bit is that when it is stimualted, it generally feels good and leads to orgasm.
I have wondered for a long time if that area becomes more sensitive with age. Specifically, does it sort of "kick in" in a woman's late twenties? I get this impression from my own personal experience and from talking to other women. I found that sex got much better when I was about 27. Suddenly the vagina got to be even more interesting than the clitoris. Though I dislike Freud's attitude, maybe this is where he got the idea of "immature" and "mature orgasms.
I would like to hear/read about the experience of as many different people as possible.

If anyone is shy about replying to this in a public journal entry, I will be happy to start a "sex filter" and continue the discussion there. Anyone who would like to be added to my "sex filter", please leave a comment or send me email. My email addy is in my profile.

Date: 2003-11-30 03:23 pm (UTC)I wonder if they maybe "grow in" as we mature. That would explain why so many women can't find theirs and/or don't believe such a thing exists. Maybe if there was nothing to be found when the woman was younger, there might be something to find later.
