Nov. 8th, 2003 11:30 pmI'm too tired to write much. We spent the day at ConCept (Montréal Science Fiction and Fantasy Convention). I was disappointed that there weren't more panels. Too much of the stuff was one person talking. And, there was only one science panel. It was pretty good. Beavra, a short film by MONSFFA (MONtréal Science Fiction and Fantasy Association), was quite funny. I'm glad I went, even though I fell asleep several times (yawn - not enough sleep last night).
When we got home, Shrederik, our tomcat, was going berzerb. He was just plain full of zooms. I guess it's because of the solar flares. For those who don't know, cats have their brains on another planet. This is obvious because cats are much smarter than what would be possible with a brain small enough to fit inside a cat's skull. So, a cat's brain in the skull is for staying in touch with it's brain on the cat-brain-planet and for backup. Whenever there are sunspots or other forms of solar disturbance, it can cause communication difficulties between a cat's two brains and often causes them to zoom and/or sproing all over the house and act very different from their normal selves.
