My coffee maker died a few days before the end of tax season. This was not the disaster it might have been, because I am a coffee fanatic. The automatic drip coffee maker is the easiest way to make coffee, but far from the only way. I chose to make it with a Melitta cone and pour the hot water on by hand. I could have made it with the espresso maker, or with the Bodum press coffee maker, or even with an electric percolater. All I really need is a pot or cup, hot water, and ground coffee or coffee beans and a way to grind them. I would use a rock, if I had to.

My drip coffee maker died nearly a week before payday and I was counting pennies .... out came that 30-cup party perc .... Boy! I am soooooooooo glad I didn't get rid of that!

Even though I love tea, it just doesn't do it for me early in the day!
