It was -17 C when we first discussed grocery shopping and we really didn't feel like going outside. But, we were out of milk and wine and have guests coming on Saturday, so grocery shopping we went. It all got planned. Costco, the SAQ Express (government run liquor store that stays open until 22h, seven days a week; limited selection), and Health Tree on the first run. Careful planning is required so things like and eggs and potatoes never sit in the car very long and freeze while we're shopping at another store. Second run: Mourelatos and the SAQ Sélection (gov't run liquor store with extra selection, regular store hours), if we couldn't get the wine we wanted at the SAQ Express.
We hauled stuff upstairs from the garage and put away the stuff that needed to go in the fridge or freezer. Then, it was off to Mourelatos and the other liquor store, since the first one didn't have the one we wanted.
I also discovered, that I had left my purse at home. Phooey.
We decided that picking up pizza from Little Caesars was about as much effort as either one of us was willing to put into supper. It was good.
