I think I am now officially ill. The sneezing and congestion continue. The "almost bronchitis" feeling is still there. I have a minor headache. I am now dealing with the post nasal drip. I'm also coughing. It's not too bad, but I will be staying home and I won't be making any appointments. Lots of rest has always worked quite well for me. I can't afford to get really sick during tax season. Oh well, gotta get sick once in a while to really appreciate being well.

Migraine

I guess I turn into a whiny bitch when I'm ill. I'm not even all that ill, but now I have a migraine. I get visual migraines, so I can barely see what I am typing. I can't finish reading the posts on the QuickBooks® forum. I hope I don't get a headache to go with the pretty visuals. But, I'm not holding my breath, since I already have a mild background headache from being ill.

This month I finally did some clothes shopping. I needed some new clothes, because of the weight loss. My old clothes were way to big for me. My sister joked that I wouldn't make it through airport security because of the number of safety pins.

I bought a few blouses, sweaters, two skirts, and three pairs of jeans. The jeans shopping was the hardest. The jeans that are currently in fashion are "low rise". Well, this is not particularly attractive on me. I have practically no "pooch", but I still have all the skin from the previous pooch. I do not want this hanging over the top of my jeans. I now fit jeans in the range of size 3, 4, or 5. So, I'm looking for the jeans with a medium or full rise. I found some in my size. Problem, they were "relaxed fit" with tapered legs. That means that they fit just fine, all the way down to the middle of my hips. Then they bagged out and then in at the bottom. This gives a sort of "socko clown" look. Sorry, I'm not paying money for that. A lot of the other jeans were baggy in the "saddle bag" area. Again, not a great look. Next problem: I could find 30" inseams in large sizes of jeans, but not in the smaller sizes. For some reason, those all seem to have 32" inseams. I don't get it. They only make shorter jeans for bigger people? It gets even weirder. [livejournal.com profile] swestrup is 6 feet tall. I'm only 5'4" tall. We both need 30" inseams. So, it would seem that I am long legged. If I am long legged (and I do look long legged naked or in a bathing suit), why can't I find jeans that are short enough for me?

I bought a pair of Jordache jeans at Zellers for about Cdn$30. They are medium rise, boot cut. They fit fairly well, but I have to keep pulling the waist up. I bought a pair of Gap Jeans at The Gap for about $59. They are men's jeans and fit fairly well, but one size smaller would probably have been better. Unfortunately, that was their smallest size. That was the a pleasant shopping experience. The nice young man who helped me, brought jeans to the dressing room, so I didn't have to get dressed to go find more jeans to try on. Then I bought a pair of Santana jeans at Costco for about $30. They are size 26 and the label says that the fit is "crosshatch jn". What the heck is that? But, they fit just great (except for the legs that need to be rolled up). I had looked for jeans at Costco before, but they hadn't had any size 26 and all the other ladies jeans started at size 6.
