Yahoo rant
Feb. 18th, 2004 08:04 pmI got an invitation to join a Yahoo fan group today. SpamCop put it in my held mail folder, because it had a large enough spam score. I have no idea who the person is that sent it. I checked for the email addy on Google and it brought up pages for the person that this group is a a fan group for. Bush.
So, at the bottom of the email it says, ...It is a violation of our service rules for members to abuse this invitation feature. If you feel this has happened, please notify us. You may also change your email preferences to stop receiving group invitations in the future... That stupid link gets me to a help page that says nothing about how to report this. I've checked all over Yahoo and there is no indication of how to contact them. There are, after going through the TOS, pages that eventually get me to "connection denied".
While I was checking this out, I got distracted and checked their Yellow Pages. I'm not in them! Bush, Bush, Bush. They only list businesses in the U.S. and Canada. Well, I'm in Canada. There is a page for adding your business. But, you click either "Bell South", or if your phone service isn't provided by Bell South, infoUSA. Well, stupid infoUSA has a form to fill in that only works if you live in the U.S.
I think I hate Yahoo.
