So, yesterday was no where near as productive as possible. I dropped my cell phone on the floor (again) and now the "flip" won't stay on at all. But, I discovered that the microphone really isn't in the flip, so the phone is still usable. I just have to find the manual to make sure I know how the "key lock" thingee works. That's the one that keeps the phone from dialing itself when it accidently gets bumped in your pockect of purse.

All I achieved was some of the shopping. I forgot the danged shopping list when I went out. And the parking lot at "Health Tree" was so full that there wasn't even a spot to park in front of the stores in the fire lane. I'll be heading there first thing today. I did get two capons at Mourelatos. Yipee.

For anyone who doesn't know what capon is (chapon in French), it's male chicken that was castrated at hatching. They are big, tender, yummy birds.

"If it weren't for the last minute, nothing would get done." Unfortunately, I'm a procrastinator, so that is all too true. It must be the last minute for getting ready for tomorrow's Yule party, 'cause I don't have enough time left. sigh...

I can't find my cell phone's manual. The first page at the Sony site that was supposed to have it in PDF format didn't have a link to it. Ah, now I found a page with a link to a PDF file, but Mozilla is fighting me. It hangs at 4kb. I have to get a newer version of Mozilla. Open up Internet Exploder; tell ZoneAlarm that IE is allowed to access the internet; click the link; tell it where to download the file; rename the file 'cause Mozilla is still trying to download it; and finally tell Mozilla's download manager to stop, 'cause I have it now.

Okey dokey, I now know how to turn the keylock off.

Gotta run before the phone rings again. My poor sister is completely stressed out trying to move my mum to "assisted living". More about that later.

I got just about everything I wanted and everything I needed. Couldn't get any organic gelatine (except agar, which is smelly and hard to work with), so I settled for Knox. Also had to settle for red potatos instead of Yukon Gold. So, thankfully the grocery shopping wasn't much of an adventure. It was cold enough (-11C) that the windows were all iced when I was finished shopping at Health Tree, that I had to run the engine about 5 minutes for them to clear. I forgot some stuff until I had parked the car in the underground garage. So, it wasn't just smooth sailing, but no excitement.

Now I'm taking a short break (groceries have already been put away) to catch up on LJ and read my email.
