I am waiting for a wretched headache to go away. I took AC&C because ASA isn't strong enough and acetaminophen and ibuprofen don't work on me. I've been having headaches every day since I got sick. I spoke with my doctor. She said it wasn't unusual to have headaches with the flu and flu-like illnesses. It wasn't unusual for the headaches to continue for a while after a person gets well, especially when they have been ill for over a week. Not time to worry yet.

I'm having a hard time not feeling sorry for myself.

Do you want us to bring you Excedrin?

Isn't Excedrin just a higher dose of ASA? Or maybe in some special buffered or "fast acting" tablets/capsules, depending on the variant?

Thanks for the offer. No thank you.

I looked up Excedrin and it contains: acetaminophen, aspirin (ASA), and caffeine. The AC&C is ASA, caffeine, and codeine. So, it is stronger and doesn't have the acetaminophen that doesn't work on me. I've tried AC&C where the first A = acetaminophen and it doesn't do squat. In fact I had 292s (Rx strength) in the hospital that had acetaminophen instead of ASA and they didn't do squat. The 292s with ASA that I got for tooth extraction were wonderful.
