Cat pee

As most of you know, there are two cats in my family, Sucha and Shrederik. Sucha has the bad habit of peeing on the floor in the washroom, next to the catbox. She has intentionally peed in inappropriate places for years. I have never seen Shreddy pee anywhere but in the box. However, yesterday swestrup noticed Sucha cautiously tippy toeing around a pee puddle and looking disgusted. Well, jeez cat, if you didn't pee on the floor, you wouldn't have to walk around it to get to the box. Hmmm, I sniffed the pee and it had a much stronger smell than Sucha's urine usually has. It was also a larger quantity than Sucha usually leaves. So, now I'm wondering if Shreddy (a neutered tom) was the culprit. Was he trying to get Sucha in trouble? Are they having a pissing contest? I do not need any pissing contests in my house.

Thanks for the reminder. I've had Sucha (the one who has been peeing inappropriately for years) checked by the vet specifically on account of the peeing several times. I am about to take them for their annual checkup, so I'll be sure to mention it to the vet.
