Today we received one item of mail. I got a small parcel from CRA (Canada Revenue Agency, for the Yanks, that's our equivalent of the IRS). It contained 30 envelopes. I find the timing ironic. The deadline for income tax returns was yesterday. I ordered these envelopes on 18 April at the CRA site. The envelopes were shipped from Winnipeg on 28 April with postage of $2.65. All this because they will not give you envelopes at their office any more. o_O

I am also amused to look at the saved confirmation form. It says that I ordered English envelopes. I went to the order page and discovered that if you are looking at the English page, you only find English envelopes. However, if you start to order them, you are given the opportunity to order French envelopes as well. The envelopes I received are bilingual. I have never seen unilingual CRA envelopes.

Now that I have some time, I want to start baking bread again. I have made both yeast and sourdough breads.

I could make my own sourdough starter, but it would be more fun to use one from a friend. So, is there a local friend who has sourdough starter and would be willing to share a bit with me?
