Some friends were supposed to come over for supper. Unfortunately, they only managed to clear half their driveway before the snowblower died. [livejournal.com profile] swestrup and I enjoyed the roast beef. We have lots of left over roast beef. Yay! I hope this snow lets up enough that they can come for supper soon. At least we got the house tidied, more or less.

In other news, I finally made a floor plan for my office and the laundry room. I even figured out a temporary place for my old stove. I will be getting rid of it as soon as there isn't stuff in front of it and I can take some pix. Does anyone on my friends list need a stove? It's harvest gold, 36" wide, electric, works well, and it has an outlet on a timer that works. The only reason I'm getting rid of it is because we don't need two stoves.

I am now officially tired of winter. Yesterday the huge amounts of snow prevented my supper guests from leaving home. Today there are icicles falling from my roof and eaves; the snow has drifted so high that I can't see the road surface out my back window; and I had to scoop the snow out of my mailbox with a spoon!

edit: I forgot, the drain in the kitchen sink is frozen. It wasn't even that cold and I had the heat on (baseboard heater below the kitchen cabinet that houses the sink). This doesn't usually happen unless we have had below -15C for several days. This time we can't use the workaround we used before of hooking up the dishwasher in the washroom, 'cause the toilet broke and we haven't replaced it yet.
