Rain on the West Island

I woke up at about 08h30 to the sound of pounding rain. When I looked out the kitchen window, I was impressed and slightly worried. There was a good 2 cm of water on the lawn and walkway. I seldom see rain like this in Quebec. Then the thunder and lightening started, and that was impressive too. When the rain slowed down, the lawn and walkway drained (phew). It all made me want to go back to sleep.
