Long day

Last night I got enough sleep - no 08h30 phone calls today. I did get a call from a client who is getting anxious about her returns. She thought the deadline had passed, but it isn't until 30 April. It didn't help that I was just starting my first coffee and she was talking too fast in Haitian accented French.

Then I did some prep work for painting the side of the basement stairs and gave them a first coat. We had completely forgotten about the side of the stairs. The stairs don't need to be painted, because they are getting carpeted, but the side isn't. Another client called to find out how his returns were doing.

After that I went shopping: Dollarama for a drop cloth and some foam paint brushes, as well as some mechanical pencils and trombones (paper clips). Then to Loblaws for a few groceries and finally Bureau en Gros for some file folders, portfolios, and staples (the staples from Dollarama jam too often).

After the shopping I made supper. I got distracted with a call from a previous client and made an appointment with him. So, it took a lot longer to make supper than expected. It was pork chops with mushroom herb sauce and a salad with vinaigrette. It was yummy, as usual. Finally,  we went to a vernissage at Galerie Harwood in Hudson. I usually don't much appreciate art. I find so much of it too weird for me. But, though some of it was a bit weird, I liked almost all of it. In fact, I would love to have about a third of it in my home.
