Slight progress in the basement saga

Today a contractor came to do an estimate on the basement repairs. He had a look at the basement and says they will take down all the panelling and replace it with drywall. His company will also be installing the new carpeting. But, he will get an estimate for laminate flooring, because it would be more appealing for resale purposes. We also discussed moving a wall (non load bearing). He promised to rush his report to the insurance adjuster. Then she will give me a call.
