Yard sale learning curve
Sep. 4th, 2005 12:56 amThe first day of the yard sale went better than I expected. We made about $25 so far. We didn't have a lot of people come by. I should have put the signs up earlier in the week. I didn't realize that we had as much "good" stuff to sell as it turns out we have. If I had figured that out Friday, I could have put an ad in the newspaper. I was afraid we wouldn't make the $25 that the ad costs. Oh well, I'll know a lot more the next time. This was my first yard sale.
I thought it would be a lot more boring - sitting around from 09h00 to 16h00. But, it was lovely weather and I had good company. It was quite nice sitting out in the fresh air most of the day. Many thanks to
_sps_ for helping out, and of course, to
swestrup too.
I'm hoping we will have more people tomorrow. They will have had an extra day to discover our signs.
