It's far to easy to get out of the habit of posting to LJ.
I've been working on my garden: tomatos, peppers, radishes, potatoes, basil, a vine that I found growing wild, and some grasses. Chives, coriander, garlic, and some pretty blue flowers were all planted last year and came back, but the coriander and garlic are finished. I also have a lot of flowers in pots. The geraniums are gorgeous. The pansies are great too. The fuschia is blooming again. The impatiens isn't blooming very much, but the foliage is pretty. The pansies are cute, but I would prefer if they were in a different place. The hanging plant with the tiny white flowers is going to make a great indoor plant, as will the coleus. I plan to plant some snow peas within the next few days and more radishes.
I've been battling the Virginia creeper all summer and for several past summers. It's growing out from under the concrete steps and concrete paving stones. The stuff climbs up the wall and damages the masonry. This year I think I'm making some headway.
The squirrels have been digging and they have been stealing my tomatoes and peppers. They don't like the peppers, so they just take one bite and leave the rest. They usually eat 1/3 to 1/2 of a stolen tomato. So far, I have gotten one cherry tomato. Damn the cute little buggers.
I'll post some pictures soon.
