I found a mention of some new artificial flavours in
_sps_'s journal,
here.
Kraft, Nestle, Coca-Cola and Campbell Soup have contracted with Senomyx for exclusive rights to use the ingredients in certain types of food and beverages, although the companies declined to identify those categories. according to
this article.
These ingredients will make you think you are tasting sweet, or salt, or something else. They will only be listed as "artificial flavours". They think they are promoting health! Well, they sound like useful ingredients for people who
need to cut down on salt or sugar, etc. But putting poorly tested additives in my food and trying to hide the fact, is not what I consider promoting good health. I will certainly not be buying anything from these companies that lists "artificial flavour". I may decide that I simply won't buy anything from them at all. Well, it's not a great loss. I hardly ever buy anything from those companies anyways. [sarcasm mode on] 'Cause ya know, these companies are so well known for their healthy foods and concern with our health. [sarcasm mode off]
