Replacement for Knud
Mar. 27th, 2004 01:35 amToday (well, Friday) I picked up the replacement for Knud. It's a 1993 Volvo 850. I got to liking it better as I drove it. I had to get used to the difference in the tension on the pedals. Woohoo, wheels again. I wonder what it's name is. I haven't even figured out if it's a girl car or a boy car.
Monday, I go to the SAAQ and transfer the registration on Knud to the insurance company and turn in the temporary papers on the new car and get my regular papers and a license plate. I have to go to the local office of the insurance to get the paper that proves the new car is insured. I have to go to the head office of the insurance company to pick up the cheque for the second half of the compensation for Knud. I have to go to Swedish Auto and get a new dipstick, 'cause the old one is broken and I forgot to mention it. They will ask the previous owner if there are any spare keys. If not, we'll order some from Volvo.
Tuesday I have a client coming over. Wednesday I have to drive
swestrup to a job interview. Thursday I am taking a driving lesson. It's about time to make sure I haven't picked up any bad habits. And of course, all days: lots of work.
G'night all.
