messy office

I have so much tidying, organising, and cleaning to do in my office, that I have been procrastinating forever. And now I'm tired of procrastinating. I'll just have to do it one step at a time and quit getting overwhelmed. There a bunches of things I want to be doing, but I keep thinking I have work to do, so I don't do the other things. Unfortunately, I'm not getting any of the work or organizing done either, because I just want to hide when I think about how much needs to get done. Yikes, I'm tired of this. Tomorrow will be better.

Not that today wasn't good. Today and yesterday swestrup and I did a whole bunch of cleaning on the ground floor. That was motivated by the fact that we were going to have a dinner party. The party went well, even though sfllaw and mricon couldn't make it. kalkuly and Margaret did come. We noted that, in spite of the weather forecast saying, "Chance of rain", there were no clouds in the sky. Then, while we were having supper on the patio, it started to rain. The parasol did a pretty good job of keeping the rain off of us, but not quite perfect. We had coffee and dessert inside. Supper was pork scnitzel with salad and organic brown basmati rice (swestrup and I only had tiny servings of rice, 'cause we're doing the low carb thing). Dessert was some very yummy Andean blackberry sorbet that I bought at Costco. We also tasted the strawberry daiquiry sorbet, but all agreed that the blackberry one was better. The blackberry sorbet was unsweetened, while the strawberry one had sugar and alcohol.

Well, I'm off to bed now.

have you ever heard of flylady? that is a good method to use to get organized, doesn't work for everybody but i like it.
