Sure. It's a folksy, homey, cute way to euphemistically call us something very close to trashy, ignorant hillbillies. We're just not supposed to be smart enough to realize it.

I think this applies to the attitude of Stephen Harper, our Canadian Prime Minister, too.

I'm baffled. Why did Alcan change it's name to Rio Tinto Alcan? Doesn't Rio Tinto mean "stained river"? Doesn't that imply pollution? I really don't get it. Anybody out there speak Spanish or knows what this is about?
