I looked up Excedrin and it contains: acetaminophen, aspirin (ASA), and caffeine. The AC&C is ASA, caffeine, and codeine. So, it is stronger and doesn't have the acetaminophen that doesn't work on me. I've tried AC&C where the first A = acetaminophen and it doesn't do squat. In fact I had 292s (Rx strength) in the hospital that had acetaminophen instead of ASA and they didn't do squat. The 292s with ASA that I got for tooth extraction were wonderful.
